Open Positions:
As an Account Lead you will be responsible for the overall success of the relationship between Accsurant and your client. Your responsibilities include:
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (i.e. GAAP, FASB), rules, regulations, and systems of internal control
- Aid in the implementation of new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines
- Provide accurate, timely, and relevant recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information
- Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes
- Assist with and act as the primary point-of-contact for auditor requests
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- 2-5 years of accounting/finance experience
- Ability to scale up a team and take initiatives to solve problems
- Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Able to solve not only technical problems but customer related requirements
- Ability to listen to customer requests is essential
As a Staff Accountant II you will perform a full range of duties on behalf of our clients. You work independently, applying a well developed knowledge of each client’s particular needs, and exercising judgment and initiative including in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise. Responsibilities include:
- Analyze balance sheets and general ledger accounts to keep track of financial information for clients’ businesses.
- Reconcile bank statements by comparing transactions to the general ledger.
- Assist with day-to-day operations per the client request, including Adhoc requests, report generation, budget review, etc.
- Process weekly payroll in a precise and timely manner.
- Maintain accounting documents and records, ensuring all transactions recorded are up to date.
- Assist Staff 1 Accountants in the performance of their duties
- Maintain and update any necessary Standard Operating Procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- 2-5 years of accounting/finance experience
- Demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with accounting software
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
- Thorough knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation
- Highly detail-oriented
- Experience managing other people directly or indirectly will be preferable
- Analytical skills to optimize process and utilization rate
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ready to build your own team
- Ability to work with client to implement optimum productivity rate.
This is a remote position.
As a Tax Associate you will provide accounting and tax services to clients within established firm and accounting guidelines. You complete routine accounting assignments with minimal supervision. You will eventually prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and payroll tax returns under the supervision of higher-level personnel and you help less experienced staff in completion of basic accounting or tax engagements. You will supervise, mentor and help train other associates as experience is gained and when assigned.
Technical Competency (First Year)
- Demonstrates an understanding of the firm’s quality control standards
- Is familiar with basic accounting and reporting standards
- Demonstrates an understanding of basic income tax laws and regulations
- Willing to spend time researching technical matters related to assigned engagements
- Prepares standard accounting working papers and statements for assigned service area
- Records and posts journal entries, classifies entries and totals for an accounting period with proper approval
- Identifies technical issues and problems and communicates to responsible party
- Accesses, interprets, and communicates industry information for basic data and trends
- Prepares basic statistical and account analyses as directed by responsible party
- Researches results for responsible party’s review, gathers pertinent information, and drafts management recommendations
- Proficient in MS Office and other Windows based software
- Demonstrates an understanding of how to effectively and efficiently utilize tax software
Technical Competency (Year 2+)
- Demonstrates an understanding of the firm’s quality control standards
- Works on review, compilation, or tax engagements with limited supervision
- Completes all sections of area accounting programs and other standard checklists with a minimum of review notes
- Reconciles accounts, accounting records, and source documents
- Drafts footnote disclosures and other parts of client reports when assigned
- Develops recommended solutions for research matters under the supervision of others
- Advises team leader of work progress to allow for the adjustment of expectations
- Is proficient in core tax software
- Is familiar with the firm’s policies and procedures and understands the importance of the various business processes
Professional Competency
- Produces work that contains few errors and takes steps to correct any errors
- Maintains accurate time records and descriptions of work performed for client billings
- Demonstrates appropriate confidence and good judgment when interacting with colleagues, supervisor, and clients
- Listens without interrupting and paraphrases message to ensure understanding
- Writes concisely, coherently, and persuasively using proper grammar, spelling, content and tone
- Begins demonstrating ability to handle difficult or demanding clients and others

Qualifications
- University graduate with a degree in business administration and a major in accounting

As a Financial Analyst/Staff Accountant I you will support the accounting team for a technology consulting firm. Your duties will include:
- Perform day to day bookkeeping and accounting functions
- Assist in forecasting and budgeting
- Assist in development and analysis of financial models to support strategic initiatives.
- Assist in analyzing existing processes and procedures to develop recommendations for improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- 1-3 years of accounting/finance experience
- Intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with accounting software
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization
- Good expertise in the areas of Journal Entry/General ledger / Reconciliation / Month-end closures
- Good understanding of financial statements
- Highly detail-oriented
- Ability to work with client to implement optimum productivity rate.
